Value for money - Great value for money, had a couple of these now and I treat them real bad (cement, water, paint, outdoor use) and it keeps on going. As the other reviewers have suggested the strap is not well made, but for the money its good enough.
Watch that strap! Or strap that watch (properly). - Maybe I m even rougher than the other reviewer, but I m not that rough! I don t go scuba diving, or anything really demanding, and only bend the strap (slightly and unavoidably) when taking the watch on and off. But after one/two years the strap inevitably breaks. Watch sellers tell me there s nothing more indestructible that fits the watch. (Then again, they would wouldn t they!) If anyone knows of a cheap watch with a durable strap please let the world know in a review! Or if there are any inventors out there, here s a great niche to fill.Anyway the watch keeps time well, and the battery goes on for many more years than the strap, so it deserves three stars for doing that much.
Great Timepiece - but watch the strap! - I ve been buying Casio F91 s for about 15 years. It s the classic cheap Casio digital watch and does exactly what it says on the tin. Makes me laugh that it has acquired iconic or retro design status - goes to show that if you keep something long enough it comes back into fashion! Word of warning though - maybe I m a bit rough with my F91 s, but I usually find the strap breaks after about 3 years of use, so sadly (for me at least) this watch comes with free built-in obsolescence!
An ode to a great watch... and friend - Talk about style... this timepiece has it all. My parents gave me my first F91 as a schoolboy but I never fully appreciated its unique blend of under-rated retro style and charming character. My timepiece acquired legendary iconic status amongst my schoolfriends after surviving multiple attempts to destroy it.During one notable double chemistry lesson we managed to take off the screen using pencil-sharpener blades, we then stabbed the display with our compasses before setting the watch on fire over a bunsen burner.To my amazement the F91 continued to function as normal. I now consider my F91 or Freddie as he likes to be known, to be my best friend.
good and cheap - This watch is ideal if you just want something cheap and simple that will tell you the time. I use it when I go jogging or to the gym. It is water proof and has quite a slim profile, making it very useful. However, you re better off buying it in Argos or something, because mine only cost 8 quid.
